Freedom's Path Prison Ministry

‚Äč"Stories of Triumph"

These are some of the women and men our ministry has had the honor of teaching, counseling, praying for and mentoring. Our classes are like being in Church. We Sing, worship, pray, give the Word of God and sometimes even lay prostrate on the floor before the Lord. We encourage them to operate in their gifts and we become a true family of believers.

"Yet in all things We are More Than Conquerors through Him who loved us"

Minister Karen came to our class in 2007. She was the first to enter into the discipleship and Minister-In Training Program. She was the source through which many other women came to the class. She is a true and anointed Evengelist and Prophetess. Out of all of my spiritual children Karen was the hardest and most challenging, but she made it. Karen was the mother  for many of the women in the prison. She had a lot of love to give and everyone looked to her for love and support which sometimes got her into trouble. She was and still is a breathe of sunshine. She would always enter into the class singing and smiling. Her voice rang out like the angels of heaven. She sang so beautifully, leading the class in praise and worship. Karen was never licensed in prison but was licensed by us in December of 2017 after her release in August of 2017. Upon her release she became a very present part of this ministry and still travels to D.C. to serve with us.

Minister Carrie came to our class in 2010 and contiued until her release in February 2016 after completing the Minister -In - Training Program. She was licensed by this program in December 2014.  She was the second from the MIT Program to be licensed. Carrie was very strong willed and determined to change regardless of the obstacles she faced. She was also one who would lead us in the songs of praise and worship. After living a life of substance abuse and violence, she made a decision to return to God. After her return to society, she was immediately picked up by her home church and began to preach the gospel. Minister Carrie also, has traveled to Washington D.C. to minister her story in our outreach program (shelter) and has preached and served in our services. She is  an excellent teacher and preacher of the Word of God.

Pastor Costella came to our minitry in 2008 and continued with us until her release in June of 2016 after serving a 16 year sentence. During her time in prison she became part of our Minister-In-Training (MIT) Proram to prisoners. In 2015, before leaving she was licensed by this ministry and went on to be selected by her home town Church as Pastor. She was the third from the MIT Program to be licensed. She was also one on the songstress that led us in praise and worship. Costella was also one of several gifted prayer warriors. I often called her the no-nonsence minister. She was serious about changing her life after a long run of substance abuse, dometic violence and crimes that led her to prison. Since her release, Pastor Costella has traveled to Washington D.C. to tell her story of triumph of how God changed her life and set her free. She has ministered in testimony and prayer in our outreach program (shelter) to those who are still sruggling to be free of addiction and the burdens of life. She has a very open and direct spirit and a desire to give back. In 2017, she received the Gospel shoes award by UBOC. She was also featured by Graceinside.

Minister Daniel entered our Minister-In Training class  in 2012, after his release from prison with a powerful testimony of his walk to freedom. With a Evangelistic spirit he shares his story with many about his walk with Jesus in the ministry of "faith".  He was licenced by UBOC in 2017 as a minister along with his wife Tilneka who both continue to serve in our ministry. Daniel is one of our presiding ministers who always has a word for someone sitting in the congregation. He never fails to reach out to the hurt and broken with a hug or a word even if they are visitors. He will keep you laughing as he brings humor with the Word of God. This minister keeps a Word in his heart and is always ready to share it with others.
